The new identity for Hotel de Londres y de Inglaterra presents a paradox: reinterpreting and breaking its graphic conventions while making everything feel unchanged. Its red lettering is part of San Sebastián’s landscape, iconography and collective memory.

Bioconstruction, through natural materials and a direct relationship with the environment, defines a way of building, designing, and inhabiting based on the care of space. Hemp, lime, plaster, water, cedar, iroko, ceramics, and local stone coexist with stainless steel, creating an atmosphere that breathes, regulates, and accompanies. In this context comes PEN COFFEE, a small space to sit for a few minutes, look outside, analyze, have a coffee, and return to work with a different mindset. Abasotas is a multifunctional project born from a single idea: to materialize a space where personal and professional life find balance in one place. A former carpentry workshop has been fully renovated to create a flexible ecosystem in which the home becomes a studio, the studio turns into a shop, and the shop comes alive as a bakery workshop and café. The new showroom for rainwear brand TANTÄ is conceived as a liquid, immersive environment where light, glass, and materiality converge. The interior is transformed into an architectural reflection of water and its mutable nature. Transparency, light play, and material textures define the spatial language, with glass bricks serving as a key element in creating visual continuity between inside and outside. Abasotas® Café is conceived as the public stretch of a sequence that begins in the domestic realm and flows into the bakery workshop. Space for the Thinking Mu® brand in Donostia-San Sebastián. An intervention that seeks to balance the industrial robustness characteristic of the Basque Country with Mediterranean sensitivity. A monochromatic palette of natural materials, refined geometries, and textures emerging from the main spatial gesture: the extrusion of alabaster plaster across walls and ceilings throughout the architectural volume. Interior design and brand image based on the reinterpretation of butcheries in the USA. Functional materiality, order, and stainless steel work surfaces extend and permeate Cárnico's brand identity. Designed through a mobile and flexible furniture system that reconfigures its retail use into spaces for demos and showcooking, maintaining the order and hierarchy of the product. STAINLESS-STEEL

Exhibition Space c/o ONDARRETA MILANO (IT)
Raw material is the only element in this space that tries to get radically close with the exposed final product. A methodical and paused serial placement system generates an enveloping texture resulting from beechwood boards.
The idea was to extrapolate this raw material, which is the base of the exposed furniture pieces and study the possibilities that rise between surfaces and structures, seeking to trespass the border between them to create infinite sceneries, with the zoning limits between product and boards being blurred reinforcing the value that we confer to raw materials. The furniture pieces are created with this BEECHWOOD BOARDS

Hotel San Nikolás and Niko Coffee are conceived as a single spatial project. The café acts as the first encounter with the hotel: an open space organised around a monumental circular concrete structure and skylight that reveal the scale of the building above. Light, living vegetation and a continuous material palette connect both spaces, establishing a shared architectural identity from the ground floor to the guest rooms.

A large circular concrete structure occupies the centre of Niko Coffee. Discovered above the former ceiling, it shifts from a concealed element to the organising core of the café and a first expression of the scale of Hotel San Nikolas. An exhibition design made entirely of a single material that fills the entire space with NATURAL WOOL SHAPES / INK PRINT

The creative process has taken us to explore the existential bond connecting humans to cooking, to look into the origin of the tools that were used at the beginning of our dialogue and relationship with food. This is Supra Fumé; a flexible chair collection adapted to the needs of a 21th. century chef and restaurant. A beautiful exploration and collaboration between elBulli1846–Ferran Adrià (probably the most influential chef in the world) and furniture design company Ondarreta® (National Design Award 2023)

A small bakery’s extension into the big city. An exploration of the idea of the vending space and its intrinsic immediacy and simplicity in today’s modern life’s purchase process. As its name indicates, ATM means “At the moment” and this is the concept used by the brand to offer its clients an immediate service, not only through its technological nature, but also through the design of the shop, which constantly communicates with the main bakery sending information and receiving a supply of new, freshly baked goods.

For more than 20 years a legacy of the cellar’s best years has built up. For this collection we have designed an underground space where thermic and acoustic control conveys the balance and harmony necessary to safekeep, contemplate, and taste the wines.
The design is based on thoroughly reducing the elements and materials used to their simplest expression. This proposal leads to an excavation in the limestone floor of the cellar placed under the tasting room. The exclusive design of this circular protective space consists of two unique stone pieces that make up the modular construction in which each year’s bottles are arranged. The cave is potentiated by a skylight which, from a central point in the ceiling, lets in a focal light destined to draw attention to the stone totem and the wine resting atop. In this case, the totem is the link with the product presentation in the exhibition room.
The result is a sensual space where the primary experience of being underground acquires more value and generates a desire related to the product’s contemplation, the warmth of light, the selection of materials, and the proportions of space. Each of the cellar’s spaces incarnates a manifesto of materials, design and execution but nowhere is this expressed so forcefully as in this sacristy, where nature and product are one. LIMESTONE

San Sebastian’s Loreak store is designed to be a container of possibilities as it establishes an infinite narrative based on interactions and modulations capable of transforming space.
A set of glass panels asserts color as a defining element that adds to the lower floor and seeks to create both rupture and connection with a set of materials consisting of furniture, modules, and surfaces made of MARKINA BLACK MARBLE / ROCKS / CEDAR / WEAVES

The design of this apartment, located at the Baqueira-Beret winter station, presents the challenge of maintaining an 80s architecture essence, true to the decade when it was built. Classic pine wood wall linings invited reinvention: they are framed by ceilings and floors to enhance a feeling of containment in the space and create a warm atmosphere, very necessary in such regions as the Pyrenees. Elements from the vineyard’s hillsides are borrowed to welcome visitors into the tasting room: limestone totems are enhanced by focal lighting and aligned to the millimeter along the space where the cellar’s entire wine collection is exhibited. The interior design of Bilbao’s Loreak store is marked by curved lines that emerge in the heart of the space dividing it between two environments that host the brand’s collections. A color range and rich visual universe created by COLOR RESINS / TAINTED GLASS / TRANSLUCID SILICONE

The benches, made from rammed earth, result from an experimental process in which we test the limits of building an architectonic element with the place’s own raw materials. It’s a sustainable intervention in which we optimize natural resources offered by the Parque Natural de la Sierra de Las Nieves (UNESCO). EARTH / WATER / CLAY

Apartment c/c HONDARRIBIA
The refurbishing of this home at the historic quarter of an emblematic village seeks to maintain the character of the place, exposing architectonic elements from its interior and respecting the original construction’s main features.
Whitewashed walls and ceilings frame a calm space opening to a view of the Cantabrian Sea, which seems to enter the house and expand into the living room. Thanks to a big, covered terrace it’s possible to enjoy the landscape throughout the year remaining sheltered by architecture.
The furniture, especially designed and manufactured to-measure in solid oak, precedes a central hallway which underscores the place’s lengthy extension while serving as a bridge between day and nighttime zones located at two ends of the house. The night zone is projected towards the sunset with bedrooms and a staircase leading to a sloped zone that is used as a studio. LIMESTONE / SOLID OAK

The design of this apartment in a farmhouse on the Biscay coast focused on the architectural reinvention of the space, with the idea of discovering all the coverings of the space in order to undress the original architectural elements and that these were the ones that gave shape to a single volume.
