Aiming to promote organic merino wool used by Teixidors®, we created a stand for the presentation of his home textile collection. The main element and protagonist to connect the concept of this new stand is the organic merino wool.
We propose to build a stand with the sole use of a single wool yarn of 7 km in length. It is this thread, the only element and starting point to hand spinning the volume of a house-shaped space. A volume that will appear with the magic of each passade, realised by hand, which delineate the shape of a house. A wooden structure helps to form a composition of hundreds of threads of wool, closing the space as a large loom.
One side of the house is delimited by the alignment of threads, and the other by micro-perforated white-lacquered boards. The panels employ a system of indefinitely placed wooden rods that gives versatility to create endless compositions for product exposition.
In the central part of the stand a large desk made of iron and wood is placed, utilised for customer service.
An ephemeral project that starts from the first passade of yarn to the final manufacture, in the same way that each of the garments created by Teixidors® is conceived.
This project has been created around a story full of authenticity, started by a couple of passionate farmers who have improved the quality of their merino sheep to get one of the best merino wool in the world. Teixidors strives to achieve traceability of all the materials with which it works, in order to add authenticity and consistency to their fabrics.
