The B+A library is an industrial project originally created to fulfil the need of improving daily life in a small space. It has enough character and strength to stand by its own feet, appearing as a versatile piece of furniture, adaptable to any kind of space.
Based on an analysis of reticular formations, the systems used mostly as the base of any typographic composition, the library stands out because of its versatility and multiple features.
Consisting of two modular mobile elements and a third one framing the former two, the library becomes a functional element to give rest to those books created through the same starting point, the reticula. Moreover, its versatility allows the creation of spaces to be able to enjoy them.
The mobility of both modules opens up the possibility to create new spaces according to the users needs and condition. As a result, the B+A piece of furniture offers the option of using it as a library, reading bench, reading table, staircase o work desk. A very versatile and functional piece intended to adapt itself to the flexibility of today's spaces.
The project is completed by its graphic image and communication, an Industrial Design and Graphic Design Project.
The B+A piece of furniture was selected as a finalist for Nuevo Diseño 07 awards, organised by Santa&Cole, Magazine and Living Deco.
