Its location on the seaside provides this apartment with a calm atmosphere, cradled by the waves of the Cantabrian Sea. It is located on the 4th floor of a building facing the Cantabrian Sea.
In this case, the mission was to renovate it preserving its original classic distribution and its two entrances: the main access and a door for service. Bearing in mind the promoters needs and program, the result is an apartment divided in very cosy, clean and bright rooms.
Each space has been treated as unique, turning each window into a small or big veranda, framing the horizon. We have followed very simple directives to choose materials and finishes, giving most relevance inside to the tile paving we have chosen for the whole apartment, expanding it all the way to the terrace outside.
A selection of pieces of furniture including a table by Molteni, chairs by Arper, a couch by Flexform, reading lamps by Artemide, lamps by Depadova, amongst others, have been adapted to this summer home, namely the multifunctional furniture:
The multi functional furniture is located in a crucial transit area of the apartment and it has been conceived to use as storage as well as work area. This work area becomes an extendable table, which can be stored or unfolded depending of the user's needs.
When it comes to lighting, we have combined indirect and punctual lighting, using wall lights, stand or hanging lamps all over the apartment. We have used linear linestra light as reinforcement and assembled spotlights in the terrace.
