The restoration of the existing building, with stoned walls and wooden beams, was one of the main aspects of the project. This idea being the main purpose, the development of the domestic area was considered, a calm space, comfortable, with a lot of light in every corner.
The sunlight and natural airing are granted in the whole space by the large windows as well as the skylights inside. To develop this idea, we counted on the large windows on the facade where we located the living room, the kitchen and the main bedroom, as well as with two inner skylights which had formerly been made void, now becoming inner airing courtyards, with natural zenithal light and plants. Two green spaces that lighten corridors as well as the rooms not facing outside.
In the bathroom, we suggested a very large translucent window in the water area, a window overlooking the living room. The idea was to project a large lamp, creating a light and shadow game where silhouettes are insinuated when the shower or the living room are being used. A large window hidden through a foldaway door shared with the pantry and fridge area, making its use an option.
